ABOUT TRICIA FAULKNER
Tricia Faulkner is a self taught artist. Perhaps her biggest influence in art was living in New Orleans as a child. Always intrigued with learning and nature. Tricia’s life was spent on farmland in Alabama in summers, and in cities other parts of the year. Drawing for relaxation, and coping, she never believed in her abilities. As years passed Tricia earned a Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy. After working and raising 2 children, she gave into her heart and started taking art seriously with her first lesson online in Bold Art Painting during April of 2020. www.triciafaulkner.art Tricia uses high grade heavy body acrylics in a dry brush layered technique. Her works may include loads of texture for feel and dimension as well as metallic inks and gel mattes.
Her heart drove her to a passion of portraying strong emotions in faces. In her first 18 months she was overwhelmed with over 60 commissions. Realizing her voice was suffocated, she put those on hold & in 2022 started portraying faces of people she photographed on mission trips while serving as a pharmacist. Her strong Spiritual upbringing led her to produce concepts of good verses evil and several forms of Angels (a work she still continues to develop). Living and photographing nature on Amelia Island motivated her to work on still life, landscape, & animals in action as in her series “Of Marsh & Sea” After expressing her own voice in 2022, Tricia has been advertised in Vanity Fair Magazine UK, Been interviewed in Nashville (TN) Voyager Magazine for “Inspiring Stories” segment, won Best In Show and 1st Place in a Regional Exhibition, 3 National Juried Exhibitions, 3 International Juried Exhibitions, and was awarded The Certificate of Artistic Achievement by the Pinacothe’que Museum in Luxembourg for her Angel portrayal “Breaker of Chains” viewable on her website
