ABOUT ALMA RAMIREZ
Alma Ramírez lives and works in Jacksonville, Fl. She received a BFA from the University of Chihuahua, Mexico. Her artwork has been exhibited in national and international contemporary art galleries.
Her artistic process consists of layers of paint studying the harmony in colors and the light. Her inspiration comes mainly from nature, water is her favorite element of study. Light has an important role on her studies of color.
“I believe feelings can be transmitted through color and composition. There is so much poetry on color alone that I can’t resist but try to combine and arrange tones and shapes in different ways, creating or recreating a story inspired by nature. It is to me impressive how much I can share with the world with my pieces, my love for nature specially the ocean, my journey on seeking peace and harmony with the waves, the air, the sounds and of course colors”
